Relatively low price for a room. It was clean. Good location.
If you are particular about a room, go some place else and spend twice the cost.
Everything worked eg TV, shower.

Stayed here for Solid Sound Festival since it’s a 10 min drive to Mass MOCA. It was exactly what you’d expect from a motel. Clean and comfortable. Perfectly met our needs. Coffee, orange juice, water cooler, and some pastries were offered in the office in the morning. It also looked like they were in the process of upgrading as mattresses and other items were being removed from some of the room the morning we left.
We’d stay here again.
The evening check-in system is bonkers. They didn't hear the desk bell so I had to call the front desk from the front desk to get someone to check me in. When I tried to check out and get some of the promised coffee/continental breakfast at 8:30am the office was locked, despite stated office hours of 7:30-10. Place was fine but a little careworn. Not worth the hassles.
I really do not like leaving negative reviews, and I like supporting small businesses, but the owners of the Northside Motel do not even try. I believe they simply want to sort of maintain the place, to keep the place running so they can charge money. The motel is at least 10 years overdue for a serious renovation. They are in a great area, and have what looks like a fine structure, but all is shabby. The temperature was well in the 90s, but their one ice machine is broken, and clearly have been broken for a long time, and it looks like it was put in about 40 years ago. The woman who checked me in said it was "out of order." Well, in the first week in August, they should have had at least one or two ice machines that are running. They say they have WiFi, but their WiFi works only slightly better than the ice machine. I could not download email messages, I could not open websites, or if I could, I had to wait 20 minutes for the one that actually downloaded. Inside and out, everything is shabby and the owners do not care. Very clearly, they do not even try to improve the place.
This is a motel after all, we did not expect a lot. We did not have many options since we booked on the day we were traveling and it was conveniently located on the outskirts of Williams College. Staff are friendly and willing to help. The facility is old. They have attempted to modernize essential things like the AC. It looks like a new unit was installed. However it is controlled by the original "singer" thermostat which controls the heat. In order to control the AC, you must turn on the thermostat, once we did that, there was heat (it was hot) in the tiny shower/ toilet section while the main room was getting cooler. Upon entering the room, my wife wanted to used the bathroom, the toilet seat had traces of dry urine. When we called them, to ask for help in turning the AC on and to clean the toilet, they were very responsive and did it right away. Micro wave had some rust bubbles on top, chairs from the dining table had spots on them. The bed sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The overall experience was not great, we just wanted to the campus visit and check out as soon as we could. They should invest in redoing the carpeting inside the room, putting in new furniture and updating the HVAC operational effectiveness. We paid with tax $190, which was way over priced for this facility.
Surprisingly poor: I knew it was old (I stayed there in 1975!) but the managers don't seem to have much interest in keeping it up. Wifi didn't work; cable TV didn't work; smelled musty and I didn't dare turn on the heater for fear of mold. Its location is so great, it's a shame there isn't a better hotel there. I've definitely stayed in worse places, but not many.
Innkeepers were nice and friendly. Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Hotels.com summary said there was a pool and free breakfast. Pool was covered and front desk door locked when we went for breakfast. Property is in sad shape -- outdated, worn decor. Shabby upkeep - handrail brackets broken so handrail not connected to wall, etc. Way over-priced for what you get. Plenty of much better options in Williamstown.
Bad odor and room was very cold because the heater constantly shut down. Bedding was not clean, there were stains (the kind you don’t want to see) on the comforter.

My reservation at airbnb was canceled 3 days before my visit to Williamstown. The Northside Motel was available to take all my family on what could have been a disastrous family visit. What I liked about the Northside Motel was that it was dependable.
We stayed for two nights over MCLA's Family Weekend. Check in was pleasant and quick. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful during the whole stay. My husband and I and our sons were very impressed with the room. It was one of the largest rooms we've gotten to stay in for this price point. Everything was clean and neat and tidy. Two big beds and a nice pull out couch, a fridge/microwave, big kitchen-style table, as well as everything else you would expect. While it was obvious that the building and furniture weren't new or updated this century, the linens were new and clean and everything smelled fresh. The heater worked well and was easy to use. The wifi was free with a strong signal, super-important to me because my cell gets no service in the Berkshires. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, though a little lacking in healthful options. My boys loved it however, because they had waffles and brownies and Ho-Hos and cereal, among other carb and sugar-laden treats. We only had one minor complaint about the premises, which isn't really something management could fix. The parking lot was fairly cramped when it was full, and had only one narrow entrance/exit. That meant you had to be very careful maneuvering in and out, and of course other people weren't always careful. Just something to be aware of if you go.
This motel is very tired and in need of refurbishment and updating. While the linen was clean and relatively new, the blankets had holes and the carpet was pretty sticky!
The price includes breakfast, in itself limited but fine, but all served on disposable polystyrene plates with plastic cutlery that went in the trash along with the recyclable packaging from the baked goods. Shocking.
The WiFi was too weak to be of much use and the socket didn't work in the bathroom, where the net curtain was see-through.
Despite booking well in advance we paid $150 plus for a night which was not good value.

This hotel is desperately trying to be a 2 star hotel, I mean d e s p e r a t e l y trying. First you walk in, no one is at the desk. A sign tells you to step outside and use a wall phone and ring a door bell to get someone to the front desk. You pick up the phone, The phone is dead. You then walk back in to find a young man standing there looking at you. You check in. You then walk to your room. The hotel room door is clearly made of cardboard at best. You walk into a somewhat clean room. You walk over to the ac unit to find that it does not turn on. You walk down to the front desk. He tells you to use the wall thermal stat to get the stand alone unit to kick on. So now the ac unit running. You walk into the bathroom to find a guest bathroom with a shower that’s not really a shower. But some how a shower. At this point you’ve just given up and accept the mistake you have made. fast forward to night. You quickly find out the walls are made of paper and you can hear the couple next door wrestling and not the WWE kind. You get about 3 hours of real sleep. You wake up, breakfast is at 7. You walk down stairs with low expectations. You see the same couple from last night kissing up on each other. You just look to the right to find yet more disappointment on a dish. At this point, you walk upstairs with a harden mini muffin. Gather your things and check out. You drive down the street to DD and cry in the parking lot while you stuffing your face with a donut. Trust me. Keep driving
Overall the stay was quite satisfactory, however my wife nearly stumbled and broke her leg on their sidewalk which has an uneven crack in it. We both felt that the condition of the property was subpar. However we got a good nights sleep and it is in a nice part of town... the north side.

Nice motel. Just looking for a warm, clean, dry place to sleep after a week of camping. Did the trick. Older property, but clean. The exterior light outside our room needed to have the dead bugs cleaned out of it. Had to make a change in our reservation plans at last minute and that was done with no fuss. Would stay here again
The pictures for the motel must be over 20 years old. It was filthy, run down and should be closed.

This affordable motel is in a great location to walk to the theater, the Clark, restaurants, and trails in the woods.
There was free parking, wifi, and a free breakfast of cereal, muffins and toast, a boiled egg, juice, fruit, juice and coffee. There is a pool.
A great value!
The property is a little shopworn, but the staff are friendly.
Room was not clean when we arrived. Smelled strong deodorizer covering the musty smell of the room. Room was not tended for our second night. Pastries in the continental breakfast were skimpy and stale.
