"I am completely unimpressed with my stay here. I booked for a few days RnR only to find there was renovations. The restaurant was impacted as was room service. Reduced menu and loud noise in rhe Cafe. I was shocked awake to a horrendously loud jack hammer which sounded like it was coming through my wall at 7.15am which continued til 8.15. Management was unable to be located. The receptionist saved me leaving and asking for a refund by moving me to another room for my last night. No where on booking material did it say there was renovation work happening. Unimpressed."

Best Western Plus North Lakes Hotel

"When we turned down the bed to go to sleep we saw a redish/Brown stain on the sheet covering the matress.My mother who travels to northlake for a medical treatment every three months is very stricted when it comes to cleanlyness and was very upset about finding the stain so I went and told the front desk that there was a stain on our sheet he replyed in a cold manner saying her would be up in a little while to take a look. When he arrived he replaced the sheet and made the bed and said it looked like a rust stain. I said sorry for the trouble and thanked him. I thanked him because it wasn't his fault it was the cleaners fault but he looked and sounded really angry and left. The only other problem was the hand soap was out as well as the body wash. We love to stay here for the convenance. Close to the Shopping centers and Costco. The lake is also a very nice place to relax and unwind. The lady receptionist on the morning of our checkout was very polite. We will make another booking but might ring up and ask for our sheets to be changed before our arrival next time."

"All the tour and restaurant staff are super friendly and amazing, very helpfull & easy going and make it a joy to do tours!!! Reception is poor not very helpfull at all.. Henk on the ferry desk was an absolute gun went above and beyond and helped us so much a credit to the island."

"Best location in Redcliffe i think. Located on Sutton beach, nice restaurant and easy walking to retail. Staff is the best, five star. Wouldn't stay anywhere else."
Rumba Beach Resort

"We were given a room right next to the pool on level 1. From 6am we had children screaming around the pool area which woke us up, and this carried on for the entire duration of the day. From 4:30pm there was live music so loud it felt like it was in our room. After the music ended it was back to noise from the pool. The back room of the apartment was as unusable due to the constant noise. I really hope no families with young children attempting to day nap, stay here. We paid for a premium beachfront room and the rooms on level 1 near the pool desperately need to be discount as there was nothing premium about our stay. The most disappointing part is that this was never communicated to us. Our ‘view’ was obstructed as it was on level 1 and had a number of structures over the view. We were deeply disappointed and feel the room should have been advertised differently as there is no way we would have booked this room as a premium beachfront. It’s false advertising!"
