This was an amazing experience. We spent one night and the service was exceptional. We had dinner on site and breakfast. I would totally stay here again, we had a beautiful experience and were able to sleep under the stars.

Hotel Lizzy Wasi sits behind a nondescript wall in a skinny alleyway in Urubamba, but once you walk through the door, a whole new world opens up. Gorgeous gardens and the smell of fragrant jasmine await you. Run by US expat Lizzy, Hotel Lizzy Wasi was the perfect place for our family.
Our stay here was a last-minute decision because of a flight delay, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We arrived at 9:30 at night from Cusco, our nerves frazzled from a miserable 24 hours of travel delays...

We really liked staying here. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best part.

Immaculate hotel. Smallish room. Very accommodating in helping with transport . Packed is a free lunch for our early departure.
Little facility with English, however, just added an English speaker as we were leaving. Highly recommended

Very cute and comfortable, absolutely immaculate! Extremely helpful and attentive staff--went above and beyond to help with luggage; especially appreciated this due to a broken foot. Climbing the cobblestone hill to the hotel was a challenge on crutches wearing a pneumatic orthopedic boot; obviously not their fault, but if you're handicapped access could be a problem. Delicious breakfast. Very helpful with cabs and tours.

The original building was built several hundred years ago as a monastery. It was converted to a hotel several years ago and Sonesta has added several more building for rooms, but, has preserved the look of the old monastery. The grounds are gorgeous with flowers and trees in abundance. The restaurant was good with hearty meals and friendly service. It was a very pleasant place to come back to after a day of touring and just sit back and relax.

Wonderful experience! This hotel is set among the Andes, close to the Sacred Valley, with spectacular grounds that are very well manicured. The hotel lobby has a large, open look, with a fire place in the center, and a hidden bar downstairs with a nice little nook to relax in. The grounds offer hammocks, a fenced-in llama feeding area, planetarium, spa, and more. The rooms have majestic views and are both comfortable and very clean. Such a nice oasis in the Sacred Valley! The whole hotel is beautiful and the staff are wonderful (especially Victor at the front desk). They arranged taxi rides for us to the train station for our adventure to Machu Picchu and to Cusco. The rooms are super comfortable, the menu of food is absolutely delicious and the grounds are gorgeous!

This hotel surpassed our expectation! We had previously stayed at the Tambo del Inka and this property was much better. Tambo del Inka is VERY touristy and Taypikala provides a much more authentic luxury experience. Very quiet, exceptional food and great service. I would love to have spent a whole week there!

The main woman who runs it makes you feel at home with her warmth and great restaurant recommendations (picolos for the traditional pizza). This is fantastic hotel. We had a double room with shared bathroom and view of the mountain and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. The owner is very helpful with directions and arranging rides. The breakfast is abundant and healthy. Some info for travelers which I discovered while being there: Ollantaytambo is the coziest village I have visited. There are plenty or restaurants downtown, and many Inca ruins to visit within a small radius. It is also the start of a 3-5 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu....

The hotel location is great, 4-5 minutes walk to the town center, restaurants and the main attractions. The staff was super helpful. The room and amenities are basic, but clean. There are a few steps from the road where the car can park to the hotel entrance, so you have to lift your luggages for a few steps. We had a great time in Ollantaytambo.

This intimate hotel was just the ticket for this town. Beautifully manicured courtyard, free parking and rooms made for families. As of October 2024, the bridge through the center of town is out, but it looks like it will be restored soon. We received excellent customer service from the staff, especially Alex. They took a genuine interest in ensuring our time in the Inka sacred valley was pleasant and that we got the most out of our brief time there.
