"One of a few motels in Murwillumbah to stay in if you're coming to do the Rail Trail . Short walk to the shops "

"Room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Only downside was that there were no pots, pans etc. supplied with the kitchenette… this meant we couldn’t use it as planned and would have probably booked a cheaper room elsewhere without these features if we had known. There were some snacks drinks etc. in the room but they were quite expensive so didn’t use these. There is a Cole’s around the corner. Shame the hotel felt the need to charge crazy prices for what would have been a nice treat. Overall would stay again as the room was a good size, clean etc. just missing the final touches as mentioned. Parking was full when we arrived as pub guests also park on the property, after dinner service it cleared out a bit and we were able to get a space. Expect to park on the street to avoid disappointment. "

"No staff in reception at all FOR WEEKS apparently! I had to find another hotel to stay for the first evening since no phone numbers were answered! Extremely difficult to contact. Filthy pool. Useless new management, who live thousands of kilometers away. Great cleaners. "

"Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. Its location is nothing short of spectacular and the 360 views are breathtaking. Hosts Craig and Paul were so warm and welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Our room had such a comfortable bed with everything we needed and many more extras. The deck was made for unwinding with a daybed and hammock inviting you to linger and recharge, while absorbing Nature all around you. There was a lovely sitting room, dining area, a well-stocked library, and swimming pool (which we didn’t have time to swim in). It was therapy just being there, including the collection of art and artefacts. One of the highlights was breakfast, with a menu that you wanted to stay a week to sample chef Paul’s culinary delights. As we’d only booked one night, leaving was hard, knowing there was so much more. However it gives us a reason to return because we left wanting more. "

"I would rate this as 3and a half and honestly thats quite high for me , the carpets could do with replacing , would freshen the place up , it’s a a pleasant experience especially if it’s quiet 👍, it’s yes for me over all Bircher muesli is the best to live on for a couple of days with fresh strawberries 🍓 "

"Accommodation was clean, tidy and spacious. Only downside was that the pool was not really clean. Low water level and hair clumps of hair and gunk in it which wasn't great, but other than that and overall really good place and well presented. "

"The Earth Lodge at Wollumbin Palms is an outstanding place at which to spend a few days. So eclectic and beautiful, peaceful and well equipped. The sparkling wine, port and breakfast supplies were really welcome and we enjoyed relaxing outside looking up towards Mt Warning. We would definitely stay there again. Nearby Murwillumbah has a couple of excellent restaurants, Bistro Livi and Tweed River House, both of which have great food and very friendly staff. The Regional Gallery there is great too. If only there were more hiking trails around there it would be perfect."

"There is only one shower and the other is in the bathtub, which is slippery and unsafe."
