"Where to start, it was cheaper than most places in Newcastle but still wasn't worth what we paid. No air-conditioning, the kitchen drain smelled terrible, the toilet leaked, there were toenails in the bathroom, originally put in a two bedded room when there was 3 of us, very hot stuffy room, unable to open window properly as there was a chain lock preventing us. Beds were clean and fairly comfy."

Check in was difficult as you need to communicate with host over phone to retrieve the code to access the key but apart from that it was great. "The whole process of being able to stay there was awful. I had emails asking me to verify my identity but no correct link sent. I was threatened with a cancellation without refund desite the fact they had not given me the opportunity to do what they asked. Having finally been sent a link I verified and arrived to be told this was very common. At the property Fire Doors were constantly janmed open."

"Overall was a lovely stay we were pleasantly surprised how modern the rooms were and actually the photos don’t do them justice. The staff were also really friendly. Just a couple small points though, the hairdryer didn’t work and also they don’t make it completely clear that the snacks / drinks on the dressing table are not free. For anything that needs to be paid they should really just be stored in the mini fridge it was a bit misleading. For a 4 star hotel I think they could do better on toiletries aswell I’d recommend bringing your own shower gel and shampoo etc. the one bottle they provide is tiny. the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely and the location is incredible."

"Myself and my partner have been to this hotel before last year and absolutely loved it! It’s such a beautiful hotel and the pool and gym is a great bonus! There’s a sauna and hot tub in the pool, it’s extremely clean and very relaxing. The rooms are gorgeous and very clean. The hotel is is a 5 minute walk from the train station, 8min Uber to the Metrocentre, and minutes away from the high street packed with shops, cafes, restaurants etc. my partner and I travel a lot for weekend trips around the uk and this hotel is by far our favourite! Our second time staying here, and most definitely won’t be our last! Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!!!"

"The staff were excellent. A really charismatic manager at the desk checked us in, recommended a few pubs and even pulled out a deck of cards out of his pocket to show us a magic trick. The rest of the staff, from the cleaning staff, to the bar staff were all really friendly and chatty. Definitely the highlight of the stay. My only minor complaint was the amount of construction noise happening during the refurb of some of the rooms in a hotel. There were skips being emptied at quite unsociable hours that woke us all up. "
