This seems to be a typical Japanese style hotel, which for Western travelers means a few things: small room, low to the floor, futon style bed, and atypical bath/shower setup. At this hotel you had to climb into the shower/bath. I don't know if this is typical or not, but the pillows were filled with some sort of pellet, which I found most uncomfortable. The hotel 'rents' memory foam type of pillow toppers, which I didn't do, but I assume that means many Westerners found this type of pillow uncomfortable. The breakfast was Japanese types of food but very well presented and lots of good choices for Westerners. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke passable English.

The hotel is close to everything, shopping and train stations. The breakfast was great and also the afternoon open bar with all kinds of free liquor was a real plus. The staff were great and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that likes to move around using the public transportation as it so close to the subway station.
