Great hotel for a stay in Tokyo - basic but has everything you need. Staff were helpful and the hotel was very clean. The area is quiet and has all the amenities you need, with bustling Shibuya just a 15 minute walk away. I’d definitely recommend to those visiting Tokyo!
This was such a great first experience in Tokyo. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel felt more traditional then other stay in the area. Highly recommend.
The place is VERY clean. Our room had everything we needed for our stay. Bed and air condiotion was great. Area is safe and walkable (10 min) to Shibuya crossing and shopping area

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Very nice and friendly staff. Cute room with the comfiest futons during our whole trip. The common bathroom with a Japanese bath is sure to be recommended (open for a private visit 19:00 to 01:00). The en-suite bathroom to the room was the most boring thing though.
This is a wonderful, family run, small hotel nestled in a sea of tranquillity right in the heart of Shibuya, 15 minutes from the Scramble Crossing. It recently went through some renovations, and the rooms are just beautiful. I had a traditional tatami matt room. I last stayed here in 2018 and had such a good experience, I booked again on this trip. Added bonus, the newly renovated private bath on the main floor. Highly recommended.
Incredible traditional experience everything was clean and comfortable, owner was super friendly. I liked it so much that I decided to extend my stay here.
Nice place to stay near Shibuya. It's not as crowded as near the station and japanese traditional style inteior and bedding were lovely. Quiet neighborhood to walk nearby and convenient stores available in waking distance.
This was a nice modern Ryoken style hotel. The room I had was very spacious. The hotel was very quiet despite being close to a main road and elevated highway. It’s not far from Shibuya but far enough to be away from the crowds and noise.
I wish there was a kettle and mugs in the room. The only option was the self serve beverage station in the lobby.
My stay at Hotel Fukudaya was great! This was my very first time in Japan, so I opted for the Japanese room. It was very quaint and calming soothing. The staff was very nice and informative. The surrounding area was quiet but close enough to walk to Shibuya area. Great for staying off the beaten path a little but close enough to immerse yourself in the vibrancy of Shibuya. I’d definitely recommend to friends and family!
One of the few hotels in Japan where we weren't treated in a racist way. Kind and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice public bath and in a quiet area, not too far away from Shibuya.
Super quiet small property with friendly staff. We liked the more traditional lodging for our short stay in Tokyo. The neighborhood is busy but you don't hear any of it at the property even though the main busy street is around the corner.
The staff here are so friendly and the room is clean and beautiful. We stayed in a room with tatami floors and futons and our own bathroom. There is a bus stop nearby, but still very walkable to the nearest metro station. It is also not too far from the center of Shibuya! A very comfortable stay.
The bed was comfortable, and the cold air con was refreshing from the September heat.
The staff was really kind and helpful. We were having issues transferring our luggage to another hotel and the staff really helped us figure out a solution.
I really enjoyed the traditional japanese aesthetic, it was small but made up for in scenery. They provided free water in the lobby and had daily housecleaning. The staff was super friendly always welcoming us and saying have a great day when we left. I would reccomend for a cheaper option, its fairly close to shibuya crossings.
Wonderful property with amazing service within walking distance of all the shopping and tourism you could ask for. The hotel was undergoing renovations as we stayed but not once was it intrusive or made to lessen our experience. The rooms are old and the age shows, but again the hotel is mid renovation. I fully plan to return once its completed! The staff were kind and helpful and the area around the hotel is so quiet youd never expect to be right by the hustle and bustle.
The staff were so kind and helpful. They spoke enough English for me to feel comfortable asking questions. Th rooms were very clean. They were doing some construction but they were reasonable about the times and let us know in advance. The construction was never a bother. I loved this hotel and would go back.
