I am a foreigner visiting Tokyo.
Hotel staff assigned room 1514 for us.
There was so many flys and extreme smell in the toilet. Such smell was much much worse than the public toilet actually. We requested to change the room thus.
The staff verified and warned us there would not be the same type room available per our special request against their room arrangement. I even agreed to downgrade the room type because it was hygiene issue.
And finally the staff assigned another room for us at 10/F without downgrading. I only felt the staff was making things difficult to the customer for this situation. Anyway, two flys was still found but the toilet was no smell. We agreed to stay in this room thus.
But, the staff behaved like unwilling to help us in the full process of room checking, and even did not show any apology to our bad experience.
Bugs should not be so active in Winter, and only occurs in the duty environment.
I believe the flys actually go everywhere through the centralized aircon system.
I have no comments on the accommodation, but I will not choose this hotel anymore.
