"Didn’t even get to stay here as the hotel had a problem with the payment from hotels.com which I was expected to sort out! When I gave them the number to ring to sort that hotels.com gave me, they didn’t try to get through to them. I then had to pay to stay in another hotel last minute. No help from some of the staff and no manager to talk to."

"Arriving at hotel outside looked a bit worn. But when i entered the hotel i could see it was under a refurbishment, this did not affect my stay, as the rooms were great, large bed, tv very clean bathroom. I would definatly stay again"

"Clean tidy well equipped rooms. Staff very friendly, Good quality breakfasts. Only negatives were the standard of service at the Pastures Lodge restaurant. It was very quiet, but proved difficult to get served, desserts took 20 mins from ordering, 1, sponge and custard was served cold, and the other was not what was ordered. Other table had to go to bar to chase food up. Mains good quality. Only other minor thing was when we came back to hotel at about 9.15pm, bar was staffed by reception staff, not an isuue, but after about 30 mins staff member went out of main doors, and never saw him again !"

"Staff, service and food were excellent. Exactly when you'd come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Sadly however the room looked tired and in need of some much needed TLC with a distinct lack of beside plugs and although the room was at far end of the building and away from general foot traffic it was right above the air handling units and plant so was noisey at night. The pool and locker rooms werent much better. The locker room was dirty (however, it was late in the day) and there was a nasty smell and the pool generally needed a refresh. All in all.though if you just need a base for a few days close to the motorway and Meadowhall with good food then this is worth a look. "

"Staff were very welcoming and friendly, room clean, bed comfy and shower lovely. Tea and coffee tray good and staff happy to give us more when we asked. Tv was a good size and breakfast was delicious. Good selection of cereals, pastry, hot food, could have as much as we wanted. The only thing that let our stay down a bit this time was the WiFi. Previous stay it was great but this time we were at the end of the corridor and the signal wasn't great, it kept dropping off, even our data didn't work well in that room. If it wasn't for the WiFi then would of rated it excellent instead of good. "
