"Hotel has drastically gone downhill and is now used for what appears to be immigrant accommodation. Appealing that this isn’t made clear. Do not stay, staff rude.. uncomfortable surrounding"

"We arrived slightly later (21:30) after I checked someone would be there. Was assured 24 hours a day. The chap came into reception on his mobile and was not that bothered we were there, kept the person on his mobile whilst checking us in. We were kind of chosen where we needed to go by ‘our of here, in the car, turn left up the road, through the gates and you’re there’ We did exactly that. Cut to us wandering around in the dark, with no knowledge of where our room is. What’s worse is the room name we had wasn’t listed on any building. I called reception and he reluctantly drove up to help us. Our key cards didn’t work on the main door into our building anyway so even if we had found it, we wouldn’t have gotten in. The chap did go and get us another key and bring it back but after 25 mins of being in the dark and trying every door in a yard area we were a little annoyed."

"Overall a good experience but issues with the postcode sent was to the incorrect entrance gate. Believe this was an issue for everyone. Nothing on the description to say the building/area was undergoing some work. Overall experience v positive. "

"Be aware when checking in to this property that you must travel to another area to collect the keys (Welwyn Garden City )which is not ideal as we had no transport the keys must then be returned to this place ( 7 min drive ) at best all I can say is the apartment was grubby and tired at worst it was dirty broken lamp shade, dammaged chairs and table, stained bed linen, dirty bath mat the list goes on. Its a shame as the apartment was idealy located near the shops and town centre but wont be staying again. "

"Been several years since I last stayed here. It is in a beautiful rural hamlet only 20 mins from Welwyn Garden City. It is a very quaint place to stay that is dog friendly. The staff are also great. I didn’t realise the bar closed at 8pm on a Monday and the menu was very limited for me as a gluten free diner. I had to have dinner between 6 and 7 ish. I ordered the soup that was delicious with GF bread. Then my only choice was ham and chips with eggs that catered to my GF needs. This morning at breakfast, as I was the only staying guest, there was no-one to ask re Gluten Free bread for toast. Breakfast was self service with hot drinks, juices, cereal, breads / croissants and apples. As I am GF I could t see at GF bread so I had some juice, coffee and an apple. I would definitely go back but now fully appreciate the Monday night early shut down etc. Room was cosy and warm. Shower very hot which was great. Tea and coffee in room with biscuits. "

"Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Very comfy bed with nice linen. Good hospital tray and complimentary toiletries. Had a lovely meal in the remand the breakfast was very good. Would stay agin when in the area."
