"Really comfortable cottage. The spiral staircase goes up to the main living area and gives views across the trees. It is well away from other properties and so the stars are very clear at night. The noise from the busy dual carriageway cannot be heard from the bedroom so we got good rest during our stay."

"clean room, lots of clean towels, large spring water bottles and glasses provided. very comfortable bed and plump cushions. Tea and coffee etc nicely set out. could not fault the room. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice to suit every taste. Lovely couple running it who couldn't do enough for us"

"The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area."

"Our new favourite place, absolutely faultless. Food is exceptional, a significant step up from your normal pub grub. Our little pooch was also made to feel incredibly welcome and even served with her own little platter of treats. A beautifully clean and well presented restaurant experience that welcomes anyone whether it be special celebrations or a party of hikers that have just conquered Dartmoor. 100% we will be back and bringing friends and family."
