Wonderful hosts, accommodating and charming. Room and facilities of the highest standards and v comfortable.
Fascinating locations, wonderful old house, will make every effort to visit atain.
An amazing renovated farmhouse with Nicky and Kevin as charming helpful hosts in the lovely village of Samford Courtney. Clean comfortable bedroom with en-suite. Great breakfast. Nicky provided clear directions to the Tarka Trail path where we viewed the sweet scent of bluebells. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay again.
This was our first stay in a house with a thatched roof - and it has to be said the property was immaculately presented, with a great blend of the new and the old. Modern facilities such as a new shower, but little aspects of the original design preserved too, and a very homely feel.
Kevin and Nicky were lovely hosts, they made us feel welcome throughout. The cooked breakfasts were really nice, in particular the home-made black currant & butter jam went down well with my girlfriend!
Lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area. The New Inn pub is a few minutes walk away, which serves really nice food and good local ales.
Would love to stay again when we next visit Devon :)
When I arrived with my British friend, who helped with my big luggage, they were kind. When I was alone, they showed racism. They did not show and put on any rules to stay, they complained to me: at night no locking the door with a key making noise, during the day, asking me lucking the door, no going in, no staying in my room during a day. from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, going out no matter what, that is their house to have their free time, no heating at 10 pm cutting off the heating so I wore outdoor clothes. According to their words, because of the old house, the wall crushes down with heating, no using mobile phone in my room with no signal. I booked 6nights even though I had two nights they asked me for a cancellation fee for three nights. I asked them not to send an email but they sent an ads emails many times bothering me. It was the worst place I have stayed. Adding my friends’ opinion. That’s terrible !
As much as it is their own business, they still have a service to provide and still need to follow guidelines put in place to give them a license to accommodate customers. Those guidelines still should follow the basic human right to seek suitable accommodation. If you’re paying for the service, I don’t see why it’s a problem that you should be allowed to settle in this place for the duration of your stay. Hopefully others will speak out against this bad service and hopefully give the manage. 짐을 내려다준 영귝친구와 있을땐 친절. 나 혼자있을땐 주인이보여쥰 인종차별: 규칙을 처음부터 말하던지 공고하던지 아무것도 없고 불평:
Our stay at the B&B was excellent. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked to order, and a good choice. Even a vegetarian choice. The house is in a lovely village with a local pub and within easy driving distance of Dartmoor and the north coast. Nikki and Kevin were very good, helpful and friendly hosts. I would highly recommend Middletown Farmhouse B&B to anybody and would certainly go back again when we next visit Devon
Wonderfull house done beautiflly and managed by a wonderfull couple - idyllic setting! Excellent place to just relax in this very picturesque small village with local pu close-by or use for one day trips around the area - Dartmoor, Exmoor, Devor or North Cornwall coast!
What a find. The buildings age and quirkiness belie the modern and very comfortable interior. Our en-suite room was sparkling clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and varied. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.
