"Great location in the centre of Valletta just right for exploring the city and close to all forms of transport to visit the rest of the island too. Staff make you very welcome in the hotel - rooms, breakfast and facilities were great and no the pool isn't too cold. Local restaurants are good we didn't have a bad meal and they were well priced. If you need snacks then a visit to the local Spar shop is a must - it's not like the ones at home! We will definitely be returning to Malta 😀"

"This is a great location in the pedestrian zone. The basic but comfortable room was clean and quiet. Two things to note; there is no traditional front desk. You enter through the Starbucks and have codes for the elevator and your room. This was not a problem for us. Also you cannot drink the water in the room. The water does smell sometimes giving the bathroom a peculiar odor. I don't know if this is a common thing in the old town. It was my first visit. "

"Staff were the very best: attentive and incredibly friendly. Room was very clean. We were a party of 3 friends: the staff immediately changed the bed from a double to 2 singles before we had even unpacked. Breakfast was so civilised, prepared fresh to order with great coffee served as requested. Pool area is great. One of our party was brave enough to take a swim. Perfect location in a nice quiet area of Valletta. No complaints whatsoever. Oh and filtered water supplied in the room daily "

"Big positive: Breakfast buffet in the Grana Restaurant. Loads to eat and drink. Full English or continental or both! Big negative: We went in February and the aircon was set to heat to 25°C (I keep my home at 18°C). I asked how I could turn it down and was told it's controlled centrally so not possible to control individual rooms, a decision which baffles me. Had the air con off the whole time, but it was warm, and we had an internal room so no air flow at all. I asked reception to provide a fan, but they said they didn't have any. Why on earth don't they let guests choose the temperatures in their own rooms?? "
