「I’d read bad reviews after booking so I was very worried. But we got a basic, decent chalet in a good location. It was quiet and safe. It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. Sykes cottages manage this chalet, but it’s Atlantic Bays reception, and they won’t know anything about your booking. 「Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied.」

「There are two Plume of Feathers in Cornwall. If you search for the one in Portscatho on Google this one is likely to show up and I made the mistake in booking it. When I contacted them once I had realised my error they said it was not up to them to refund but Expedia - who I contacted. They were helpful and sympathetic - but they said it was actually at the discretion of the host who they contacted on my behalf but they declined my request. I again contacted the PoF to ask them to reconsider...
