「The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV.
It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well.
The pension is quite nice, super...
「Free shuttle from the airport. Staff was very pleasant. Family room was perfect for our needs and very roomy balcony was wonderful to watch sun rise. Only reason for 4 stars is that when we booked through Expedia, it said free breakfast included. When we arrived, we were told breakfast was extra. Host said she could bring fruit and juice instead. Perfect for a quick overnight layover.」
「Very cool and relaxed place to stay while we explored the island and to acclimate to the time zone and recuperate from the travel day before we proceeded ahead to Bora Bora. The staff is amazing, they anticipate every detail before you even think about it. We just spent 3 days and I wish I had planned at least 5.」
