"This property was awesome. I would give it five stars all around. The location is right next to all of the boutique shopping. You are a three block walk from Nishiki market. Three blocks in the other direction, you have the main tourist shopping district, but the area of the hotel is way cooler for shopping because it has all of these very cool Japanese brands. The breakfast was great and the kids ate for free. we also had dinner at the hotel. Food was great but service was very slow. You are an easy Uber away from all of the shrines and main attractions. Walkable to Pontocho Ally and Gion in about 15/20 minutes. The hotel lobby is beautiful and brand new. Staff was very kind and helpful. We got a king room with a sofa bed, and it was spacious with a great lighting and super modern amenities. Highly recommend."
"The pros; Great location. The onsen on property was great. The breakfast selection was great, loved the ice cream treats too. Rooms are small, very basic. The cons: Too many people. Line for coffee, line for breakfast ( Yes even at 6:45 am) and line to get on the elevator. Rooms are small, very basic. Stayed 3 nights here and it was good but would not stay there again… too crowded."
"Superior corner room was really narrow and felt stuffy. The bathroom needs new grouting as it was quite stained. Front desk staff were lacking in communication skills. Breakfast was the same everyday and not that good. Location was excellent. "
