Lived there for many years. People are exceptionally friendly and the region is known for its natural beauty. Public transportation is very good, buy an Orca Card to use the Link Light Rail and Metro buses to get around. Otherwise, parking is pricey.

Seattle is a beautiful city. So many arts and culture offerings. View of Puget Sound never gets old. Still lots of issues to grapple with downtown. But as someone who visits frequently, I have definitely seen an improvement over the past 12 months.

We loved our first visit to Seattle. Took the Amtrak train to see the west coast, and Oregon and Washington did not disappoint. Beautiful snow filled trees , mountains streams and countryside from the Amtrak Coast Starliner! Seattle was amazing!

Seattle is very clean and sidewalks are in good repair. Unlike many post pandemic cities, Seattle streets were lively with many people walking around, both day and evening, and many stores open with few empty storefronts. Great entertainment too.

Overall the downtown areas were very well kept up. It felt clean for a downtown. The people were all very friendly. Public transportation including ferries are all reasonably priced and family friendly. We really enjoyed our time in Seattle.

Downtown Seattle, like Portland, Oregon is finding its way back. In many ways, downtown Seattle seems to be more vibrant, active, and busy than PDX. Judging by the throngs of tourists and shoppers, Seattle seems to be getting its groove back.

Space needle and surrounding museums are a must. The Washington Botanical Garden is a beautiful place for walks, though not many flowers are around in mid July. Shopping around Pike Place and bargain hunting at Nordstrom Rack is always fun.

Great place to stay if you prefer walking but also want the option of catching the monorail or lightrail to other parts of Seattle. I'm a faster walker so it was only about 14 minutes to the Space Needle and same to the convention centers.

Seattle's downtown is recovering from the pandemic much better than other west coast cities left deeply impacted by mental illness, drug addiction and the unhoused. The majestic natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest can't be beat.

Central Seattle has much more hills and changes in elevation that i was expecting. Walking maps make it look like you can get from A to B by walking a certain path, but it does not tell you that the path is up a steep hill (for example).
"This property was centrally located but still away from the hustle and bustle. We had a great stay. Jess at the front desk is the best and the gentlemen that assisted us with valet were pretty awesome good too.
If you when a chance to order room service- pls do. We ordered their seafood risotto, fresh basked focaccia bread, lasagna and their mussels. We ordered both nights. It was that good! Would definitely stay there again!"
