「The "innkeeper" John could not have been more accommodating or helpful during my brief stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and historic. It's still a bit of a work in progress, but I enjoyed my stay so much I would go back to Schenectady just to stay there again. I can't wait until the restaurant downstairs opens- it is such a cozy and welcoming place. The coffee shop in the lobby is bright and warm (and the coffee and cheese scones are excellent!) This is the opposite of staying in a chain...

「From the first encounter at the front desk upon check-in to the making of the room, there was always some little things that made me want to leave the place sooner ((for example: I was waken up twice in the middle of the night by spiders crawling across my face). However, breakfast was quite acceptable. 」

「Everything was perfect. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The suite offered all the things we needed right down to pots and pans, dish soap etc. The gym offered a good workout and my grandkids enjoyed the warm indoor pool. Breakfast was excellent with lots of different offerings. I also loved that it felt safe and secure there. We will definitely stay at Marriott Residence Inn again. 」

「The room was spotless and had all the right amenities. The lobby had a cozy fire going and fresh drinks and coffee at all times. They offered a different soup of the day in the lobby daily which I thought was so old-fashioned and adorable and comforting. The breakfasts were a standout. Great variety that changed daily and really delicious. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!」
