"This is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our 2-night stay but would not likely return due issues with the room. The main areas are stunning. The drawing room offers a quite space to relax, with drinks and snacks provided. The breakfast, in the sunlit conservatory, is absolutely gourmet. The staff are friendly and helpful, provided a map and made great suggestions on where to eat (including a free drink at The Cow). They stored our bags when we arrived at 11 am and early check-in was offered for 40€ (which we declined). We appreciated that our luggage was moved to our room, up one the flight of stairs, before we checked in later that night. We booked a family room ($500 CAN/ night in July) and the photos on the listing looked very luxe and spacious. The bedroom was nicely decorated, but the bathroom was as afterthought: bland, beige and in desperate need of maintenance. The blamd ceramic floor tiles were cracked, the sink was offset from the pedestal, everything felt unfinished/poorly done. I could excuse the decore if the bathroom was pristine, but the lack of upkeep was surprising. The beds looked comfy, but the mattresses were tired and the sheets were scratchy and uncomfortable. Considering Ariel House is part of a large hotel group and advertises "boutique elegance", the room did not meet expectation and was inconsistent with the rest of the hotel. A few updates would make a big impact and deliver a true elegant and luxury experience."

"The hotel was excellent very up to date and modern facilities. Room was large and comfortable Only negative was when I went to get a coffee refill and the machines needed maintenance, the queue got long, and by the time I got back to my table it had been cleared and been given away to someone else."
