"We always stay at the Cozumel Hotel and Resort when we make our yearly trip. You just can't beat the great staff, the huge pool with the great courtyard, and dining in the beachside restaurant for breakfast. You can snorkel or dive from their pier and the dive shop is right there. It's close enough to walk to downtown San Miquel, or you can take a taxi. They have car rentals also, or bikes if you want to get some exercise. It's a WIN WIN WIN!"

"Getting a room on the backside, away from the ocean, there are a couple nightclubs / bars that play band music until 11:00 p.m. or later. It can be very loud. Ocean view is much quieter!

"Staff was nice and location was central. Nice ocean view. Unfortunately, the traffic and motorcycles racing and reving their engines until 1am ruined my sleep and my early morning dive. The room was big but the bed was a bit on the harder side. "

"Rooms are overall nice, just a little scuffed in places but not bad. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Get the tuna tostadas!
Having the snorkeling area right there is great. Would recommend bringing your own gear, though - the dive shop nearby has old equipment that's in bad shape and overcharges you for it. Not the hotel's fault, but wanted to mention so others are aware. "
