I have stayed at this hotel a few times and MUST SAY the staff was the best !!!! They have always welcome me with open arms. The beach is right down the street from the hotel and the rooms was very clean :) it’s a must stay for anyone going to Puerto Rico for the first time :0/)

Although we didn't use the pool, it looked nice. There is no bar on-sight --- there is one available at the sister hotel, a block away. The ocean is about 2 blocks away. The hotel is older, with small rooms, but is nice.

I love this property for its location and quaintness. It is low amenities but perfect for a local, quiet place to stay. It is very walkable and I love supporting all the local businesses. The beach is great- they now have chair rentals. So many great places to eat and shop. And a short ride to the hustle & bustle of San Juan

The property looks excellent in photographs. However, while structurally the same, my wife and my experience was poor. I had contacted the property to inquire about an early check-in and was told it would be dependent on whether or not the room was ready. Understandable. We arrived about 45" early, dropped off our bags and walked returning for the 4:00 pm check-in. The room was not ready until 4:25 pm for no understandable reason. [two other groups were waiting behind us]. Throughout our entire stay the internet was non-existent. We complained to the front desk to no avail. We rarely had even one bar on our phones even though the hotel states it has internet. We would have to go outside and use cellular data to book Ubers. The TV, while visually new and listing multiple platforms available, rarely would go more than 8-10" into any program before the signal was lost and a prompt would appear on our TV telling us to restart our router or the networks were operating on other Wi-Fi channels. We brought this to the hotel staff and there was no resolution during our three day stay nor was the WiFi itself resolved. The bathroom window only had a screen on the window and a plastic pull down, no window glass which not only affected the air conditioning but also meant all night we heard the cars and trucks going by. Our room was a King Suite and these problems made our experience horrific.

Room was dingy, bed was terribly uncomfortable, very noisy, shower was tiny & hot water took forever. TV didn’t work properly, had to have someone come and replace remote and reset tv. Furniture was old and worn. Room photos on line do not match the actual rooms. This hotel should not have the word “boutique” in its name.

Unfortunately we were disappointed in this property. Little or no hot water, noise from the streets, windows were not secure, the bathroom window had no glass just a plastic shade. We will not stay here again.

I chose this hotel for its charm. If you want modern, Americanized, “6 star”, bring your expectations down or go stay at an overpriced chain. This stay was affordable and was a cute, cottage in the jungle theme. Most buildings in PR are old=historic. Checking in, the front desk attendant (Joanna) was sweet. They give you actual keys. We went through a little maze to get to my room but I enjoyed being tucked away and seeing the rest of the property. It had a huge bar next to my room that wasn’t being used. I wish it had but this location is walkable to many places! My room was HUGE. I had a living room, dining area w/a microwave and fridge (which is needed because they feed big portions everywhere), king bed and bathroom. Bed was comfy. Room temp cold, shower water can get hot, pressure fine. The only complaints put very lightly are: the way you have to lock your door (I didn’t know you had to lock the door before closing it and some random dude just walked in my room. Joanna explained to me after the fact. And when using your key, you have to turn it exactly to the original position or it would get stuck. I was a pro at it after the 1st day but it didn’t bother me much, just took me a min to get in every time), AC made lil noise (some people might complain about that but as a light sleeper, I was ok), it’s dim in the bathroom, hard to put on makeup, WiFi ok, asked for maid service 1 day & got missed & ran out of towels. They fixed it quickly. Pool small but beach 1 block away

The room was spotless. The staff was feiendly The location was excellent. Beach, restaurants, shops, bars all within walking distance. I would stay here again. The facility had little private areas outside with tables and chairs. The pool was perfect.

We were supposed to stay three nights, but we had to leave after discovering bed bugs in our room. We are extremely upset and disappointed with how the situation was handled. The manager was very relaxed about it and did not seem concerned or apologetic. Our only option was to leave the hotel at 10:30 PM and try to find another place to stay late at night, which was very stressful. We ended up with bites all over our legs, arms, and backs. I would not recommend staying at Wind Chimes Boutique Hotel.

Staff were outstanding! Very helpful. The place is a cute boutique hotel with great little courtyards. Sister hotel with an amazing spa is just down the block. Only con was the lack of hot water (only lukewarm) for the shower.

Stayed 4 nights. Hotel is located 1 block from the beach and is in walking distance of good restaurants and coffee shops. Has private areas for groups to sit outside. We walked up to the local store and purchased wine and beer. There are small refrigerators in the rooms and an ice machine. If you’re looking for a 5-star hotel where everything is pristine, then this is not the place, however if you are adventurous and like a good vibe, then this is the place.
