Top San Francisco Zapotitlán Hotel Reviews

El Picnic Atitlan

8/10 Good

"My sense is that any place in the area has good views of the lake, and the difference is that the Picnic is located a bit higher up than other places, thus maybe better views of the lake and the volcanoes? One has to decide if taking many steep stairs up and down would be worth the views? The bathroom is outside with about 12 stairs down and then up. If one needs to use the toilet in the middle of the night, one needs to bring the flashlight and hear all the animal sounds. The amenities are rather basic and then again this place is like a camping site. One has to take a 10-min tuktuk ride one way from the dock. It costs a few dollars one way. And the hosts were always helpful to meet my needs. And I had great desserts in this place. Overall, it was an interesting experience."

Lush Atitlán

8/10 Good

"Very beautiful property, but the town is a little strange. The staff was lovely, food was great. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first room was not my favorite because it’s a hut with walls. There were opening in the top which made it easy for bugs to get in. The second room was fully closed off . Beware there are a lot of bugs n the rooms that were partially open at the top. Also dogs bark in this town a lot."

Hotel Boutique Casa Morasan

10/10 Excellent

"The included breakfast was well prepared every morning. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was always someone at the front desk, even during late night hours such as 1:30 am. Just be mindful that at those hours, you must ring the doorbell. Room and bathroom was clean. Would definitely recommend, even for solo travelers."
