All the staff- front desk and concierge, porters, shuttle drivers, restaurant staff, housekeeping staff, spa staff, grounds crew, etc were all extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was beautiful with its decor, view of the grounds, space, sitting area, large tub, available water and coffee. 「The Mercantile is a recently renovated property, so everything is fresh and new. Rooms are a tad tight, but my understanding is that is to be expected. There isn’t much of a desk, and someone made a poor decision to glue their in-room phone right in the center of the little desk area there is. Bed was comfortable but the pillows are a little tough.
