"Great property with even a private rainforest trail. Lots of maintenance effort to make this place a great home away from home. Room is perfect, feel like living in a forest."

"Clean room, quiet place to stay, very close to Volcano National park."

"Excellent host snd lovely accomodations"

"This charming property is incredibly well maintained and the staff go above and beyond. All the extras we added on were worth it. Its a very special spot that I would recommend to anyone."

"We loved our stay. Very nice setup."

"Cute mom-and-pop property in a great location near Volcanoes National Park. It felt more like staying in a little house in the rainforest than a hotel. A little rustic, but in a good way. Hearing the birds and other animals at night made it really special. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!"

"The property was clean, the staff was very attentive to ensure we had what we needed, and the checkout was very easy."

"This hotel is more like a rental house than typical hotel. There are only eight or so rooms and each one has nice views with privacy. There is no staff on site but you can contact them is needed. I would stay here again. One thing to consider, you are 30 minutes from most services. If you don’t mind that and want something quiet this is a great option."

"Great place to stay while visiting volcano national park."

"Beautiful place to stay while visiting the volcano area"

"The owners (different than the host) are the best! They made sure that we have everything we need to make our stay comfortable and stress-free as our house in Ka’u was damaged by Hurricane Lala. The Nene Room was beautiful, clean and peaceful with its large picture window overlooking the serene forest. We also stayed in Gecko room that has one bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The Gecko room is comfortable and perfect for family and longer stays. The surrounding is quiet and close to stores,...

"limited electricity so there’s not much light at night and no hot water in room."

"This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made."

"Kelly is an excellent host, always making herself available to her guests. Her breakfasts are delicious. The area is quiet and the property is close to Hilo"

"There was bugs everywhere. Thankfully they let us switch to another property."

"House was well cleaned and maintained. Sarge was very friendly. House was very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely stay there again"
