We had a wonderful time at the Villa. The rooms are great, and our host was super nice! She provided great authentic Italian breakfast We took buses and the light train. Easy to find places around the cultural and historical parts of the its. We’ll highly recommend it!
Lovely B&B in a renovated Italian villa. The neighborhood was safe, the room was pretty and clean, and so quiet, I never heard my neighbors. I learned upon arriving that this is a B&B, not a standard hotel. I arrived after the 8pm check-in closure, and had to call the place to get in. I'm extremely grateful to the kind woman who runs this place for getting up in the middle of the night to let me in! She was very kind and accommodating.
Room was spacious with a big bed and plenty of light and ventilation. It had a fridge in the room and kettle. The bathroom was really nice with a power shower and was clean. The whole stay was really lovely with the host being really friendly! Everyday the room was cleaned for us. I really enjoyed our stay, I would definitely book again. Was very good for a reasonable price.
My experience at Villa Aurora Room was good. It was clean, with a spacious room and a spacious bathroom as well, perfect for two people, and a large bed. Aurora is an excellent host — very kind and always willing to help in any way she can. Our only issue was really the language barrier, but we tried to communicate as best as we could, and she helped us a lot with that. I highly recommend her place. The only small downside is that it’s far from the city, but you can take buses and then the train, and it’s not too hard to get to the center of Rome. Overall, it was a good experience — the room was clean and spacious, as I mentioned. Everything went very well with her. I highly recommend it. It’s not a hotel, though.
The room and building is very clean and they offer housekeeping daily! Location is pretty close to bus, streetcar stops and train stations to go to the main areas of Rome/ Vatican City ~approximately 30-60 minutes rides depending on where and what time of day. The Citymapper app is definitely helpful. Area around the property is pretty calm. Most importantly, the host is very accomodating and responsive to all your questions! Would definitely stay here again when I come back.
The property is located in a beautiful area. Parking is relatively accessible but may fill up fast. It doesn’t seem like they control who parks there, so there may be some people who are not guests that may take spots.
I did read all of the reviews of Villa Aurora before booking so I will be generous and say we had a lot of bad luck. We booked 3 nights and having travelled to Rome many times, wedon’t feel the need to be in the historic centre and would rather be close to where we’d like to dine in the evening (2 really great places nearby - 20 min walk). However, we realized very quickly on night 1 that the walls/doors are not at all soundproof and rather cheap so we heard both late arrivals/early departures coming up stone steps and bumping luggage but at least that didn’t last so long. On night 2 it was a different story: the people in the next room came in at 11:30 pm and had music on, loud conversations and other super loud activitie until they finally left again at 1:30 am AND then back again at 3 or 3:30 am to wake up the entire floor again. When I complained the next morning, the manager was surprised because the man had only booked a single room. He brought ‘guests’ in illegally (and is illegal to not register as a guest in Italy). We insisted on a refund or a room change because we had another night to go and he’s was staying. We got a room change to a different floor. Take note, and do not come without earplugs and not just in case of bad neighbours bc the traffic outside can also be very loud. Also, choosing this place near the tram line was a bust bc it’s being updated so you’re stuck with crowded busses. Maybe bad luck but I wouldn’t risk ever going back. Not recommended.
100% recomendable.
