"Barcelo Maya Palace is a great resort with access to it's sister properties within the Barcelo Complex. The resort was clean and staff was very friendly. The beach area was clean without a lot of seaweed. I would recommend the Barcelo resorts. Visit the other properties if you want a different buffet experience."

"We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The only issue we encountered was that the air conditioner leaked, soaking all of our clothes. Thankfully, the hotel staff handled the situation incredibly well and washed all of our clothing at no extra charge, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was all the wildlife around the resort. We saw monkeys, macaws, deer, raccoons, and even some of the adorable rat-like animals native to the area, which made the experience feel very unique. The food was excellent! The main buffet had a huge variety of options, and the green chilaquiles were definitely my favorite. I recommend going early in the morning since it gets very busy later on. We also had lunch one day at the oceanfront buffet, and it was fantastic—the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and it was much less crowded. Paco’s Tacos and the pizza were also both delicious. Definitely make dinner reservations ahead of time—they’re absolutely worth it. Our favorite restaurant was the Italian restaurant, and we also really enjoyed the Oriental restaurant. The steakhouse, however, wasn’t our favorite and was the only dining experience we probably wouldn’t repeat. The beach is on the smaller side, but we were lucky enough to have beautiful, crystal-clear water during our stay. Another huge perk is that Xcaret Park is literally about a five-minute walk from the hotel entrance."

"Awww man where do I begin??? From the moment we got off our transport to the days we stayed there to my check out this morning, everything was excellent!!! Well kept , great hospitality, great customer service!! I wish I can request for you guys to ask for a specie person but that’s won’t be necessary. Because they are all amazing!"

"We had the best time with two young kids. The food was always delicious with some many options between the restaurants and buffets. The servers and staff were always helpful and accommodating to our children. Our concierge’s, Cielo and David, were especially helpful. They met every need we asked for. They handled all reservations for us and sent the schedule for the day every morning. Also, we were having an issue with house keeping coming to our room while our kids napped and they were able to schedule when house keeping would come. They helped arrange anything we needed and support in every question and request we had. They really elevated our time here. Will definitely come back and be booking through Expedia to get the concierge help again. Only downside was the beach was unusable due to the seaweed. But that’s a time of year thing and not the resorts fault."

"We went here to celebrate a family members anniversary this past Valentine’s Day weekend. What a great experience this was! From the moment we checked in and were offered fresh cold cocktails to all the points in between. The staff and their attentiveness was amazing. The food was great, the bars were great, the activities were fun, and the location was beautiful. Definitely a great vacation at a great price and we would definitely visit here again. Forgot to mention everything was included… yes everything."
