「I enjoyed my stay at the Merchant. I loved the history of the property, its location, the extra comfort touches everywhere in both the common areas and the individual rooms. The small deck in the rear of the building offered a pleasant seating area outside, the property is well maintained inside and out. Loved being able to walk everywhere, can’t wait to return to Salem and the Merchant. 」

「Room was clean, wish the restroom had a fan, but the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the chocolate on the pillows and bottled waters. The staff was very friendly and the common area was also nice to have with a microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator to use. Parking is free after 8pm and Sundays so that was helpful with a Saturday night stay. Quicker to take an Uber to visit Salem in October! Would highly recommend. 」

「We didn't have one of the fun themed rooms, but a few friends did and the ones we got to see were phenomenal! The clown room and dungeon were so good! Our room was one of the ones that were apartment style which a little sitting area, and kitchen which included a full oven/stove and fridge which was perfect for our restaurant leftovers and game night we had one night when it was raining out. Staff was helpful, and even let a few of us check in early if our rooms were ready. Plenty of parking. 」

「Staff is very kind, Room very big, two walk-in closets, smaller bathroom but very clean. The hotel is very pretty but still has an old feel to it adding to the Salem aesthetic. 」
