"We stayed at the Apartotel and Suites Villas del Rio for two weeks on our first ever visit to Costa Rica. The continental breakfast along with the made to order options was a perfect way to start each morning. The staff was one of the biggest highlights. The noticeable perk was the security presence and attentiveness to the guests and visitors of the premises. Everyone was incredibly kind and the front desk team went above and beyond. They recommended several authentic local restaurants that were both affordable and close by and every suggestion was spot on. They helped us choose tours in the area that matched what we enjoy. Our room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, spotless, and far nicer than we imagined from the photos. The patio quickly became one of our favorite places to relax. The cleaning staff did an excellent job throughout our stay keeping everything fresh and comfortable. Two stand out perks were the heated pool in the 24/7 coffee which we took advantage of daily. Overall the condo delivered far more than we anticipated. Great service, great amenities and great location. All around a fantastic stay!"

The Stay

"I had a very disappointing experience staying here. The property was dirty, and the water was not working. What made the situation worse was that I was not informed about the water issue until after I had already checked in. Access to running water is a basic necessity, and this should have been disclosed beforehand. The location also felt unsafe and was in a very rough area that did not match my expectations based on the listing. To make matters even worse, the key broke in the door, leaving me stuck and unable to get in or out properly. Despite all of these problems, I only stayed for about an hour before deciding I could not remain there, yet I was refused a refund. The staff were not helpful or kind when I raised these concerns. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience, and I would not recommend staying here."

"Everyone was super kind just a little expensive to do laundry lol 10$ USD which was almost 15$ Canadian . Breakfast was toast and fruit . Place was clean . Only complaint would be the people upstairs being very loud all night sounded like moving furniture around scraping on the floors & dropping things . Staff was very respectful and kind . <3"
