「We enjoyed this hotel very much. Our room was very clean, beds comfortable and upgraded washroom. It had the best water pressure in all of Costa Rica in our experience from similar hotels. The breakfast was pretty mediocre and the wifi was ok. The location to the beach and the park was fantastic - literally a 3 minute walk with no hills. Would definitely recommend!」

「Older hotel with a nice setting in a prime location. Facilities were a little dated but some might consider this part of the "charm". Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Family Room which was well sized for our family of 4. A couple things would make it more functional: (a) Mini-fridge -- there's no way to keep any of your own drinks/food cold, (b) Shelving/storage -- besides the floor there are few places for 4 people to put their things.」

「Beautiful place, with its own beach that is a plus, food and service at the beach was excellent. We saw more animals and closer here at the beach hotel that at the National Parks. 」

「Slow time of year, and the staff couldn't muster enough energy to scoop dead bugs, spiders, and leaves out of the pool. I believe we were the only occupants at the entire facility. People playing video games in the parking lot at night, being too loud. Hole in the ceiling of the bathroom where a fan used to be; could see clear to the roof. Inadequate blanket on bed; not suitable for sleeping under. Lock on the door gave way if you pushed on the door hard enough. I've stayed here twice...

「Ronny and his staff were so kind and accommodating and made this stay absolutely worth it. We were welcomed with a cocktail and had a custom ordered tasty breakfast every morning. The room itself is small (and no door to the bathroom) but it is all you really need. The secluded rooftop patio was our favorite place to be during sunsets. The restaurant is bustling but the noise dies down early in the night. The property is on top of a hill (car required) and is about a 10 minute drive to...

「Property was very nice although the walking up and down the hills within the property was difficult and felt dangerous especially on the rolling surface installed. Service was great although there was a tendency to gouge for trivial services (ie salt and lime on a beer glass was an upcharge, Evian bottles of water $9 each). Bartending, waiters and golf cart drivers were definitely the saving grace. Our room A/C system was marginal. 」
