We were skeptical about this place based on the reviews here and on maps, but we’re glad we stayed at Condovac. We had a great stay, with just few inconveniences. The bad: we paid for a romantic room, which had a jacuzzi. The room itself was great, but the jacuzzi has NO hot water, and that’s a known issue to the staff, so the fact that they still advertise this room as having a working jacuzzi is misleading at best. We complained about this and they moved us to a different type of accommodation where things were a little dated but worked fine. The hotel ATM was broken, so we couldn’t have cash for tips or whatnot. Make sure to arrange your transportation back to the airport early on, preferably with a company not affiliated to the hotel. The taxi they had arranged canceled on us last minute, claiming the card machine had “just broken” and asking us to stop at the atm on the way. Pretty sketchy. Meals: Breakfasts were excellent. Lunch and dinner are ok. Plenty of fresh fruit available at those times, which was awesome. The snacks could be better, though. Now the good: this hotel has the most incredible views you could ask for. There’s an infinity pool from where you can watch the sea all day and then later the sunset. The restaurant provides the same views. You can even see some monkeys from afar! It was the favorite part of our stay. Most staff are super friendly (shoutout to Gin from the colibri restaurant and the bar, to name one). The pools are clean and lots of fun.

The efficiency room was dated but clean and bed was comfortable. The pools are lovely with magnificent views. I’d absolutely recommend staying for the accommodation but avoid the all inclusive if an option. Much better food/drink options close by.

They only have 1 restaurant with poor service and the staff is not friendly. In our room the AC was not working properly, we had a animal crawling on the roof every morning at 4:00 am. The pools are nice but the service in the pool bar is very bad. I really don’t recommend this place.

The gentleman who checked us in was very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff were not as helpful and at times appeared unhappy and unmotivated. Our package included an à la carte dinner, but we received conflicting information from the front desk and the kitchen, and we were never able to make a reservation during the eight nights we stayed. The only food I consistently enjoyed was the fruit. The alcoholic drinks were overly watered down. On one occasion, the shuttle that transports guests around the property passed my husband three times, even though he was standing at the designated pickup location. My husband has a heart condition and ended up having to walk up the hill in 95-degree weather, which was extremely concerning and unacceptable. Overall, the property appears run-down, and the service and amenities were disappointing. Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking this property.

Let me start with the positives, the only thing accurate about the advertisement of the facility is the description of the 4 pools and the amazing view. Yes a picture is worth a thousand s words. The shuttle does run continuously as stated 7am - 10pm. There are a few amazing staff member that go well above and beyond. Maria and Gaston pool and restaurant bar tenders great, Jean who runs the romantic dinner and works dinning amazing, Olman towel station /shuttle driver great. Not so positive, common problem every guest shared was the false advertisement of the 2 restaurants and the 25+ pictures of the food. A restaurant is a place where you sit down, read a menu and place your order, or order from a counter. Dorito is a breakfast lunch and dinner buffet with 90% of the food the same every day lunch & dinner. 2nd common complaint, it list 4 bars - only 1 is open 10am-6pm, and the other 6pm -everyday they run out of alcohol and the drinks are massively watered down. As a 74yr old guest said she got more of a buzz off a cup of Pepsi They do not even have wine. There is a liquor stirred in walking distance, in which, most guest bought their own. 3rd common problem, the facility is sold out but only have 14 chaise longe chairs and 8 are broken. Guest are told to go to the beach or sit on a wooden dinning chair at the pool. So not only is it byob it’s also byoc. Which now brings us to the beach, only a few chairs but you have to get up at 7am to get a chair there or by the pool.

When I arrived at the room, it was not completed or clean. But when contacting the front desk, they were on top of it, and their service lady came right away. Everyone at the resort was so kind and helpful, definitely a 10/10. The resort is old and needs a bit of updating, but other than that, everything was good, and I felt safe as a single woman traveling by myself during this time. The pool view is amazing and like no other. I would definitely visit this resort again. The price was right, and the staff was amazing!

We just finished a 14-day stay at Condovac La Costa, and unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. We were charged $19 per night for mini bar service, yet it was only stocked twice the entire trip despite multiple requests to reception. We also waited 48 hours for clean sheets after repeatedly asking, and eventually had to strip the bed ourselves and bring the sheets to reception. We later discovered our room included a separate dinner service, but no one told us until the last few days of the trip, meaning we missed something we had already paid for. The resort advertises a beach bar, but during our two-week stay it opened only once, and it wasn’t included in the all-inclusive plan. There are also four pools but only about 20 loungers total, and many of the beach loungers were broken. When we raised these concerns with reception and asked what they would do to make things right, we were essentially told “you can check out,” and were directed to take any refund issues up with Expedia. To be fair, most of the restaurant staff were friendly and worked hard, and Oscar in particular went above and beyond with great service. The property has beautiful views and potential, but the service, communication, and management response were extremely disappointing.

Pros- Our family’s beds were comfortable, the AC worked in our room and the shuttle was very convenient (except for when it was periodically broken down) the pineapple was almost always available an delicious. Cons- the food options are simple, minimal and often runout. At breakfast there was butter/margerine for toast only SOME days (but omelettes were almost always available for breakfast which was the hilights of out food experience- even though inclusions were sometimes unavailable). Lunch is consistently delicious stewed black beans, dry, old, deep fried, hotdogs and stale buns beside either tortilla chips or french fries. And dinner… rice prepared two ways, beans- one or two ways, a meat option and almost always a nice, fresh salad. The was a dessert option sometimes. There are two bars, one in the pool one 25ft away at the “buffet”… both advertised 5 to 10 drinks available, but often the bar was out of hard liquor. The advertised, à la carte, restaurant is open 2 to 3 days a week requires reservation for the 10 available tables and costs $25 per person. The advertised bar at the beach does not open. There were zero amenities in our room… No coffee maker no fridge. There was a safe in the room, but we waited two days and four phone calls to get assistance/permission to use it. Every day we had breakfast at the “resort“, but we quickly learned to have a look at dinner and more often than not chose to walk down the highway to one of three nearby restaurants.

The place ordinary but the experience was excellent! There's was great music everyday by the pool. The outdoor gym was fabulous. The Resort shuttle to the beach was perfect. Rooms: were clean, beds made daily. There were no wash cloths. No shampoo or conditioner. The kitchen: was nicely stocked with dishes, but no dish soap or cloth/sponge for washing our dishes. Pools: we’re typically not very clean and a bit cloudy indicating the chemicals were not balanced. They were lacking in pool chairs, we counted about 20 for a couple hundred (at least) people. In addition, several were broken or cushions ripped. Pool towels were regularly out making it difficult to get fresh pool towels once a day. The towels were stained and small. I suggest bringing your own. Food for all inclusive: was bare bones, same thing day in and day out, very few options. My husband and I both became very ill at different points of the vacation, as did several other travelers after eating at the provided all inclusive restaurant. We ended up eating out at local restaurants for the most part. Noon of the meals closely resembled anything advertised on Expedia. Drinks for all inclusive: they ran out of alcohol several days & the swim up bartender was frequently MIA. We had 0-1 drinks there per day due to the unavailability. Non of the drinks looked like photos on Expedia. General physical maintenance: horrendous. The eating area ceiling was falling apart. Roof tiles on condos were cracked or missing. Paint jobs messy. There is enough maintenance work to keep a large crew busy for years.

Plus were the pools and the view. Problems: meals were all buffet and pretty much the same bland food; never had wine and no tequila occasionally when it is supposed to be an all inclusive; a bit rundown and since it is for sale probably not spending any money to update anytime soon; no wifi in the rooms, just the community areas.

Overall, the room was okay, but there were a few things that could be improved. The upholstery on the couch needed cleaning, and no washcloths were provided in the room. Wi-Fi was only available in the common areas, not in the bedroom, which was inconvenient. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional. The towels provided at the pool were also quite small. On the positive side, the property has a beautiful view from the common areas, and everything was generally clean. The staff were helpful, especially those who spoke English. Transportation was manageable, as it was possible to use Uber to get around.

ocean was slightly visible from the room. we had no hand towels or anything on our first day and the bed sheet was covered in hair. there was a gaping hole in the door that allowed many bugs to come in. the property often ran out of alcohol and the drinks were very weak. they served pretty much the same food every day for all three meals. it was buffet style, even though they claim to have two restaurants. bars closed by 9:30 pm. the place seemed to be a little run down. the hot tub was freezing cold. staff was very nice.

Rooms were dirty. Sheets had stains, no toiletries or rags in bathroom. Pools had excessive debris in them, dining area was dirty, food sat out and looked terrible.

Room was better than expected, staff was good particularly Ana Live who was excellent. Unfortunate state of resort though as it looked at one point it was pretty good. Hopefully they will find the resources to fix it up.

Clean room, Nice Pools, very good staff, very good beach, but the lack of good food and drinks was so bad that it can not be called a all inclusive resort.

If you are looking for a luxurious all-inclusive, this is not the resort to go to. This is a very relaxed resort. I went with family and we had no expectations before coming after reading the reviews. We had a great time, the price is amazing, the food was great. Yes, the lounge chairs and towels at the pool could use upgrading, but they are still usable. We saw a lot of wildlife around the resort, the beach was very clean, the staff was very friendly. My only concern is to make sure you pull hard on the door, some do not stick and the door will open. Overall, I think this is an awesome place, in a great location, and will be back!
