Like most of Coco Beach, this property is older but there is a lot of pride in ownership! The ground are very well maintained and the units are clean and comfortable with AC in the common areas and bedrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful leading to a great stay

The property was very hard to find. It lacked signs and the address Expedia has was the wrong one. It is close to main street and walkable. There were parties and loud music close by, off the property. Not much could be done about noisy neighbors. Our apartment was very clean, we had the pool all to ourselves. 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, with stove and full size fridge. We enjoyed our two days at this Villa.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Luxury Coco Villa's. They are not luxury, but they are clean, and very convenient for local shopping restaurants and beaches. The aircon and Wifi were excellent. The day we arrived the new owner took over and he said there was a lot to do to bring the place up to scratch. Which no doubt it needs. It was a great base for us to stay in as we travelled a few times. The pool is great the staff were wonderful, especially the man who maintains the property and lives on site. We felt very safe. There's loud music on weekends from the brewery bar back of it....but hey its a holiday desination what does anyone expect. We just put earbuds in. All around good deal for the money. Needs a lot of updating, but we really enjoyed it there. Pura Vida!

It’s meh.

Last 2 nights in Costa Rica. This place was fine. Nothing to write home about. Three positives that were the size of the place, gated community and location. However, a few negative's. One, definitely older pics. A lot of outdated beds, upkeep, stove didn’t work, etc. Two, there is no pool with a service bar. There’s a pool and a bar but no pool bar. Three, UNBELIEVABLY loud with the Zi bar directly behind the condos. We were lullabied to sleep with karaoke versions of drunk people singing journey songs and of course the oldie but goodie, “come Sunday” not by jimmy buffet but another drunk couple of singers. Lastly, The location is hard to find, you have to go down an ally way and the managers will see you, I’m sure it’s from the cameras all around the place, not from anyone at the gates.

Overall, a good value for the price. Nothing special, luxurious or resort like, just a simple and clean two bedroom apartment centrally located to downtown Playas del Coco. Very close to Zi Lounge, so expect late music late into the night.

This property should not be on Expedia! It's a run down condo complex that needs to be torn down. Green spa, filthy rooms, no communication the day of rival, I could go on and on. We drove through the gate to find our spot had a dirty mattress at the door. We were woken up to a knock at the door of - "You no pay". OMG. Please believe this review and stay somewhere else if you value your time and probably life,. Expedia should investigate what they are offering to their customer here. Not good, on any level.

The villa is gated so it's very safe, staffs are super lovely you see them all the time on the property. The outdoor is well maintained, except for the hot tubs (maybe because it's not high season so it's not turned on? We didn't bother to ask.) We booked 2 bedroom units, they are good enough for a family of 4. The inside is a bit dated, no hand soaps are available in any of the washrooms or kitchen. The downstairs washroom is very damp and has a musty smell. The washroom's flushes are quite low and weak. The property's location is perfect about 10 minutes walk to the beach and 3 mins to the main street for groceries, restaurants, and shops. We walked out every day. Overall, this if you are looking for a property that is close to everything I would still recommend this place.

There are much better options with a better location in this area. The good: Clean sheets, ample towels, nice pool, plants and garden area well taken care of, plates/cups/bowls, private vehicle parking, and a good automatic security gate. The bad: The hotel entrance is located on a dirt alley road BEHIND the main strip. There are NO signs identifying it as a hotel; just a large security gate. There is no front desk and no one to greet you upon arrival like normal hotels. IT WAS HOT!!! AC was not on upon check in and it was 102F degrees outside and inside. The 2 small AC units upstairs never sufficiently cooled the area and remained hot the entire stay. The 3 bathroom windows did not completely shut leaving a 1/4” gap allowing the outside heat and noise inside ensuring it was at least 85-90F degrees at all times in the bathroom. Dead huge cockroach sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor at check-in. The main door lock is strange and does not have a door knob, only a deadbolt. The poolside sliding door lock got stuck a few times and the “curtains” are just sheer coverings allowing people at the pool to see inside. Overall, I give the hotel a below average but it could easily be improved with some minor changes and repairs.

Don’t believe the pictures. The pics used to advertise the place have been taken in the property owner’s villa. You will not get that. The condo style villa you will get is tiny, old and rundown. It’s a Scam. There was 2 power outages in the 48 hours we were there, AC working part time, water leak in the kitchen. Stay away!

The room had everything we needed for our stay. The location was close to all restaurants, shops and a short walk to the beach. Unfortunately, you have to go to the end of a backlane to get to the property. Still felt safe but I can see how some people would feel uneasy about this. The hotel mentions a swim-up bar, but there is nobody there that actually serves you drinks. The pool area is still very nice and relaxing! You get a key fob to open and close the gate, so that was nice and made us feel safe. The grounds keeper was fantastic. He is out there everyday taking care of the property! Overall I definitely recommend this villa.
