「This property wasn’t in great condition. The pool needed some love, it had stains and had green algae growing on the metal fixtures. The paint was peeling off of the pool chairs and it didn’t look comfortable. The bedding wasn’t great, the bed was uncomfortably firm and the AC wasn’t working well. We left and found accommodation somewhere else. 」

I stayed in a single room with 3 beds with my teenage kids for 3 nights and this location and remoteness was a highlight of our Vietnam trip. 」

「The room was more than what we expected. It was spacious, neat and tidy. The toilet is also quite big, though it smells a little so we always have the toilet cover down. The staff would never miss a chance to sell you national park tour or pick up services(seems to be a norm in that area), but was very nice and are able to communicate in English. 「Very friendly family run hotel. I really enjoyed my 3 nights at Paradise Hotel. Everybody I met were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked well. The room was quite large for the price paid. Prices for good food and drinks were great. They booked me a tour for amazing day at the Caves which I really enjoyed. If I get back to Phong Nha, I will definitely stay at Paradise Hotel again. Thank you everybody for giving me an enjoyable experience.」

「The rooms were big, spacious and clean. Breakfast was a good and basic. I enjoyed the banana pancakes. But I found the female owner wasn’t very friendly unless you booked tours with her. We hired bikes and grabs to get to the caves and points of interest. We didn’t join any tours, she stopped talking to us. The male owner was very pleasant and was lovely to deal with. 」
