"Parking is good we didn’t have a drink in the bar. We have stayed here many times over the years but it has gone downhill. Poor maintenance in the bathroom… no hot water for a shower or a wash! Went to breakfast and was told we had to be finished within half an hour… people on the next table… the waitress actually asked them to leave!! My husband complained at reception but they just said ok I’ll let them no… with no apology. Also check in not very welcoming! Also they have spoilt the countryside views by putting an 8ft fence up ! We will be looking elsewhere to stay next time! "

"Beautiful, spacious room. Very clean and well resourced. Lovely big bathroom and large, easy to use shower. Proper coffee machine and plenty of choice of hot drinks, biscuits and soft drinks in the fridge. Large bed- lovely pillows & mattress very comfortable. Did not see any staff apart from when we were leaving, but the lady was very pleasant & helpful. Parking was excellent- car very secure. Did not go for breakfast - but saw the cafe, just a few yards away, where this was served. Choice a little limited on the menu, but had we wanted breakfast, we would have gone there. Projector for TV etc. Would have been easy for most people, but as we are more elderly and less technically inclined, took us a while to work it out - managed though. Definitely business friendly - central for amenities, easy access to motorway, excellent facilities. We would certainly look to book again when in the area for family events. Can highly recommend."

"Always have a nice quiet stay here. Check-in is online and easy, and entrance and room codes are included in your welcome email. You have the proprietor's mobile number should you need to speak to someone. I would say that cleaning needs to be more meticulous, and maintenance and upkeep of the facilities (roll holders, bathroom shelves etc) has to be more regular..."

"This hotel is outstanding, have stayed here a few times. Everything is spotless, lovely happy staff, like they enjoy working there working there. Lovely surroundings. The food is so nice. Just overall great x"

"Terrible: There were many things that were problematic. The room is tiny and had slanting walls all around( banged my head twice). You have to take your bags out, walk in the rain to reception fir check-in and then take your bags and walk in the rain for the room. There is no fan in the room and the pillows were seriously stiff. Bad: Breakfast was fixed menu and was ok, I wish i had English breakfast as it liked great but sadly I had Egg Benedict with very hard did egg yolks (saw it for the first time). But having committed the crime of coding a wing menu, I couldn't go back to full English. Then, asked the lady fir vide and toast and she disappeared. Good: The bathroom was top notch, cleaning was great. Some of the staff was very welcoming. Coffee was very good. Views from window were beautiful."

"Although there was an issue with my booking on arrival (I had a confirmation but it hadn’t been received by the hotel), they were great about it and didn’t hesitate to get me a room organised. I was a late arrival and the kitchen had closed but again the team sorted me something to eat. The room was great and breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommended!"
