A good find, lovely room, only downside for elderly less mobile was shower over bath but it was a great shower. Staff very attentive and polite. Food at dinner was good, freshly cooked but a little slow. Great setting and would recommend and certainly go again if in the area.

Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear and when it did it was disappointing to say the least, and not worth the money such a shame ! We then came back for Sunday lunch ,the food was nice but service took a long time, we were not asked if we would like any condiments or if we needed anything else..we had to ask for the dessert menu..benefit of the doubt they were short staffed but.............! None of this would actually stop us booking again, but wouldn't bother with breakfast or Sunday lunch!
