The lobby is like going into a ski resort with knotty pine walls and a fire going when the outside temperature is below 50 degrees. Long time employee Tommy is always friendly and helpful .」

「Walk across the street to the public beach access. Next to an ice cream parlor. Nice place for people wanting an old school hotel and not the holiday in express. Good parking. Enjoyed the trip back in time. 」

「Check-in was easy and they worked with me when I arrived earlier than expected. The room was huge, clean, and more than adequate. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and will definitely be back. It's very convenient to the Outer Banks and Alligator River NWR so it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, birders (like me!), and wildlife photographers. 」
