Our room was small but comfortable with features matching the age of the property. Breakfast taken in the vine room were excellent with various choices. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all consisting of excellent locally sources ingredients expertly cooked. The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others.」

「The house is a very unique house with a deep history set in extensive formal gardens. The staff, particularly in reception and the Restaurant are attentive and very pleasant. The age and design of the house allows functions such as weddings and prom parties to be held without disturbing other guests. It may be a little dog-eared but that seems to add to its charm.」

The only hiccup we had was that there is a constant noise in the room due to a fan or something that we can't turn off. Apart from that, I was very impressed with the hotel. 」
