"The staff was amazing! They were so helpful in making arrangements for an amazing driver to St Andrew’s (James) for us. Carlos and everyone at the hotel was very helpful in getting us cars, making reservations and recommendations that were all spot on! The location was awesome as well as our room and all the amenities. Loved our stay!"

"A lovely hotel tucked away behind the Royal Mile. I was advised upon arrival that my room had been upgraded, which was a lovely gesture. Room was modern, clean and very large with a huge bathroom. Whilst they don't offer breakfast, a 15% discount voucher for the Cafe downstairs is provided and a connecting door direct to the Cafe. Food was delicious. Lots of restaurants and cafes are located in the same street."

"We enjoyed our stay very much However, the apartment had a 6' bed which was in a corner with access from one side and the bottom. There was no accessible shelf on the wall side of the bed for glasses, phone etc. In addition, the bed was perpendicular to the television so a stiff neck was inevitable. Had the bed been 5' and turned through 90° it would have been much easier as there would have been space for a shelf at each side."

"This hotel is next door to Edinburgh Waverley station, so for us arriving via train it was perfect, however if the lower entrance is not open you will need your climbing legs as to reach it there is a set of about 60 steps to ascend or a walk round the block to avoid the stairs. It is a few steps from the Royal Mile so easy access to many of the attractions along there. The staff are really helpful and welcoming and as we arrived early they took our bags from us and placed them in our room when it was ready. The room was spacious and very clean, comfortable and incredibly quiet - we heard no street noise or from the wedding party that was there the night we arrived. The hotel has a small cinema attached which is in a wonderful art deco design with sumptuous seats and allows you to take in the drinks you buy at the bar there and you get a discount if staying at The Scotsman. Overall a wonderful stay and when visiting Edinburgh again we will be staying there."
