"Booked to stay here for an authentic Ryokan Onsen experience on our Japan holiday. This was our first time at both a ryokan and an Onsen so we don’t have an awful lot to compare it to on those aspects. However, the positives of the hotel were that the staff were very friendly and happy to help. They spoke a small amount of English and were happy to try to assist when needed. "Absolutely wonderful experience! We arrived late and were unable to contact the ryokan to let them know. We were feeling down because we thought we had missed the traditional dinner. But when we arrived, the ladies of the inn quickly got us checked in and had the kitchen prepare dinner right before it closed. And the traditional Japanese dinner was amazing! I cannot say how much I appreciate the thoughtful service. "
