「The motel was very clean and well made, and the staff was awesome ! The food at the bar is amazing and well priced. Tge only real downside was either the walls are thin, or our neighbors were loud. Still, 9.5 out of 10」

「The room was great! staff was excellent! Check in went smoothly as did check-out. Have to admit the breakfast has gone down some as I recall there used to be more hot and ready-made items, but I am sure with staff reductions and money savings, going to more self-serve items to be warmed up and cleaner ways to make things (pancake maker rather than waffle maker) definitely helps. We stay with your facility once to twice a year and have always had a good visit. Thanks again.」

「Loved Motel Ely! Super friendly/helpful proprietor offered plenty of recommendations for restaurants. Rooms are not standard modern soulless fare. Mismatched furnishings, midcentury-style mini fridges, unusual bathroom sink/toilets... but everything is spotless and functional. One of our 2 rooms had a great mural, both featured shiplap wood walls. Affordable and cozy. Also right on Sheridan St in Ely, making it easy to explore town on foot. Highly recommend.」

「Spacious suite had big windows, beautiful view of Lake Superior. Wood burning fireplace! Big bathroom with jet tub. Right next to Cascade State Park for waterfalls, hikes. Restaurant - food is excellent (highly recommend the salmon with ginger persimmon compote, and the "wild burger")!!」
