「The AC was locked and did not stay on. Had to get up to pull plug to reset several times in night. If I pay for the room I should be able to set the temp to my preference. Otherwise the hotel was very good but disappointing regarding comfort from AC」

「Location is great and the breakfast is excellent. The only negative is that the TV’s don’t have a streaming option and the channel selection they did have were underwhelming.」

「The staff was kind, professional and helpful! However, for the price we paid we were expecting a decent middle of the road room that reflected the pictures on the website, but unfortunately that was not the case and the pictures on the website did not match the appearance of the actual room. The room was rundown; broken outlets, missing pieces to switches, poor paint job trying to hide the cracks and mold on the walls, poor lighting and drainage in the bathroom.」

「I absolutely loved Dowd's Country Inn! The Inn is lovingly maintained - inside and out. My room was beautifully furnished, with soft lighting, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Breakfast is made-to-order and included in the reasonable lodging fee. The spacious common areas brimmed with character. Duncan Dowd went the extra mile in providing attentive hospitality and service. Being located right on the lovely Lyme Town Green, adds even more interest and charm. I will definitely look...

「Huge train sirens in the middle of night for several times. 」

「Would have been better if the fire alarm didn’t go off twice and neither time were we told it was safe to go back inside. No acknowledgment of the alarms at the very early hours of the morning. Otherwise the property was okay. Simple and relatively clean. The sleeper sofa had food crumbs on the mattress.」

「Nice New England Inn with great attached restaurant/ brewery. Dinner was fantastic - didn’t try the breakfast. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The in-room fridge is very small.」
