"What a pleasant surprise to have stumbled on this unique inn with charm, history and characters. It has so much to offer: historic buildings with some 200 years of stories, super helpful hostess (big shout out to Kelly), comfortable bed and clean / spacious room, thoughtful details in the facilities (keurig coffee, hot chocolate, breakfast, lounges…) What I was looking for as a place to crash after a long drive turned out to be a highlight of our time in Montpelier."

It has the advantage of the proprietor being in residence, and serving the guests personally to ensure their satisfaction with the accommodations. "From our first contact, Brandon, the owner, was most helpful in arranging our stay. Our room was well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were varied, customized to our tastes, and high quality. Brandon’s tips on what to see and do were tailored to our interests. After expressing our interest to visit a local museum that was closed, Brandon called the owner and arranged for the caretaker to let us in and give us an introduction to the history All the spaces in the Inn and surrounding garden were comfortable and offered a variety of things to do"
