A charming Bed and Breakfast

We had a great stay at the Mad River Inn. Wonderful hosts, lovely old inn, delicious breakfast (and afternoon cookies!), impressive tea selection, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We had to cut our stay short unexpectedly, but we’ll be back!

The owners of this property were friendly and gracious, The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The food was fantastic. Our hosts even mapped out a driving route of the area so we could take in all the beautiful fall foliage.

Fabulous

Fabulous bed and breakfast. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and gave us excellent recommendations on where to go for fall colors and areas of interest and dining options. Breakfasts were really delicious!

Excellent Inn near Sugarbush

Fantastic Stay at The Mad River Inn

We had a fantastic stay at Mad River Inn with Brandon and Suzannah. Breakfast was incredible with a sweet and savoury option every morning. The game room is a lovely extra. The location is great with easy access to Stowe and Waterbury close by with great restaurants. Our room was comfortable and cosy - a fantastic place to stay for a weekend away

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Brandon and Susannah. They made us feel so wecome. We also enjoyed sharing their lovely inn with the other guests. Each morning they made the most delicious breakfast with the best coffee. Highly recommend.

The hosts were terrific. My bed was dreamy. Plenty of hot water in the shower with good pressure. Breakfast was different and fabulous every day. I had a wonderful 4 night stay.

This was a charming inn in the countryside of Vermont with beautiful mountains and valleys. Excellent location in the Mad River Valley to explore the small towns surrounding it!! Historic charm and very accommodating hosts. Friendly service. They are very Informative. Great breakfast as a bonus!! We would definitely recommend and would go back.

Mad River Inn has everything you need!

Suzanna and Brandon were wonderful hosts. The inn is comfortable and provided many amenities like game room, hot tub, and fire pit. Daily baked goods smell delicious and breakfast each morning was wonderful! Our hosts had great recommendations of things to do in the area and were lovely to chat with. We were visiting for a wedding in Waitsfield and were very happy staying local rather than in one of the other cities!

Great breakfasts! The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. They have a formal living room and a game room in the basement. They live in the house with their 2 young children who play in the living room after dinner. They were very cute.

The property was so genuine both in terms of the acreage and space outside, as well as the authenticity of the 1860's building, inside. The host and hostess were incredibly engaged with the guests and offered information about the property, building, and surrounding area points of interest. The breakfast was amazing with both a savory and sweet option daily as well homemade afternoon snack. We felt completely at home and well taken care of. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.
