"Very centrally located Train station down the street castle and keep on the other end. Many dining and drinking places close. Great breakfast available for a small fee. Staff helpful. Shower only and a small bathroom. No laundry available on site but a great one in the community 15minute walk away."

"Our room was really spacious and clean and the hotel had a really great vibe to it with a huge staircase and worldly carpet. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The Automatic check in machine was speedy and great"

"Yes, its an historic castle, but one that owns its current form to its restoration (from a ruin) in the early 20th century. We stayed in a Superior Room (1st floor) in the "Castle View" block - formerly the castle stables. Large, comfortable and very clean with a good bathroom. Perhaps a little too warm, but window and skylight open for ventilation. Although we did not choose the tasting menu, dinner was fabulous and wine by the glass excellent. Breakfast too was great (I particularly enjoyed the Craster kippers). All the staff we met during our stay were polite, helpful and friendly."

"My wife and I try to travel as often as possible. We like to find unique, fancy hotels and we just found our favorite. First, the location is the best in Newcastle. Close enough to all the downtown sites and activities, but still quiet enough to have a nice romantic walk. Second, this was the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. The entire hotel was top notch. Third, the staff was the most fantastic. Friendly smiles and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. I wish I would have eaten at the amazing looking restaurant and visited the spa. We definitely will be back to do it all. The corner room facing the bridge was absolutely incredible! Thank you for being part of us falling in love with Newcastle!"
