「The beds were far too soft, the base had springs rising up in it and was stained, looked years old. I shared a superior twin room with a friend for one week, the friend who I was with had to put the mattress on the floor after the first night due to back ache, there was no provision for a new base. By the end of the week my neck and shoulders were painful.
Apart from this the staff were helpful, the room and hotel was clean, the view from our sea view room could not have been better, breakfast...
「This may have been the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Immaculate. The staff were genuinely helpful (getting our bags upstairs, for example.) The excellent breakfast was cooked to order. The buffet had fresh cut fruit, which was a lovely touch.
The location was a little out of the way, but the views and the grounds made up for it.
We did not stay in the shepherds huts, but they looked really interesting (and super high quality)
Excellent for couples.」
「We had a superior sea facing suite, but on entrance we were disappointed and unsure if we had been given the correct room. It was located on the first floor and at the end of the main building. 「We loved our stay. Our room was fabulous with a free standing bath and seperate rainfall shower. The bathroom and bedroom were equally as spacious. The breakfast was lovely, overnight oats, smoked salmon and scrambled egg for me with a lovely view from the dining area. The hotel is so close to the beach and some fabulous walks」
「This is a gem.
We are high end travellers and this is probably the best service we have ever experienced. The staff were very attentive and obviously take great pride in their work and the property. The food quality was excellent and consequently we ate there most nights.」
