"We loved this stay. The property was very nice and they had a beautiful garden. I loved the amenities that they provided. I would go back for their private bath and breakfast!"
"A truly exceptional and unique hotel experience in the heart of Higashiyama. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special place to stay while in Kyoto.
A worthwhile destination in its own right, and absolutely wonderful hospitality and service. "
"We are a family of four, three adults and one older teen. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Fantastic amenities in the rooms and the location was amazing. Highly recommend for your trip to Kyoto "
"We loved our stay there. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean. Great bathroom! Dyson hair dryer, heated bathroom floor, large, relaxing tub. Many places are walkable"
"What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon. We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...
"Amazing location, amenities, free perks, we even have our very own maiko show with free drinks, and the owners were very nice and happy to help with any questions. "
"Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights we had the private residence. Beautiful place, fell in love with it but the moment we stepped foot init "

"Great property. Everything felt new and looked great and clean. Wonderful bakery in the lobby for quick breakfast and coffee. There was also a restaurant on property but we didn’t try it. Rooftop bar was nice. Our room was great with plenty of room. The sink & vanity was out in the room which was nice because there was plenty of room to get ready and someone else could use the bathroom/shower area. We were in a superior King room and the bed was comfortable with a small couch area. While the hotel isn't right in the middle of things it is very central with easy access to all the right areas. Short 6 minute walk to subway/train. 12 minute taxi to Kyoto main station. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was great."
"you can pick up the bus out of the hoten and easy access to metro
Great services, you get free shot of sake daily and unlimited matcha and coffee, loved the size of the room, was good according Japan Standards."
"So close to Kyoto station and very nice lounge and public bath. Right next to plenty of options in Kyoto station. Well worth it just for not having to walk far in the heat."
"Hotel in great location. Feels more like an apartment than hotel. Comfy beds, pillows, soft blankets, living room with large sofa able to sleep 2, dining table, kitchen with dishes, pot, utensils, microwave, toaster oven. Family Mart next door open 24 hours. Walking to main downtown area only 15 min. Other restaurants nearby within 5 min. Washer/dryer combo machine in room very convenient, don't need to go outside for community laundry. Easy online check in/out. Easy to contact staff for help. Friendly staff helped me place order for take out food over the phone in Japanese and also helped me make a reservation for restaurant because the website wouldn't accept my name and phone number for reservations. Booked spa option. Spa was nice and clean and well stocked with towels and soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash moisturizer and water. Spa included 4 shower areas, hot bath, cold bath, and sauna. Really appreciate the private booking so only our family has access and didn't have to share with others during our time. Really great hotel! Would come back again!"
