「Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. Our shower had mold on the ceiling and the curtain liner, the jacuzzi tub needed to be cleaned, and the room definitely had a very strong odor. 「The property is completely run down and about two thirds of the property looks abandoned. The room was dirty. The bed sheets had holes and stains. The windows did not lock. There is one outlet in the entire room. The shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere. The indoor pool was gross and had moldy water and place smelled like something died in there. 「The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock.
