We checked in at the designated time and the front desk service was acceptable, but things quickly went downhill. I believed I had booked an ocean view room, but was given a standard one instead. When I asked about it, I was told it was just a regular room—disappointing, but I didn’t want to fuss. I paid a small fee to upgrade to an actual ocean view room, which felt like a win—until it wasn’t. After moving all our things and heading out to dinner, I missed some calls from the hotel. Turns out, the room I was given had already been assigned to another guest who just hadn’t put their stuff in yet. So the hotel staff entered the room, packed up our belongings without us there, and moved us to yet another room. This felt like a major invasion of privacy and completely ruined the experience. While the view was nice, the chaos and mishandling of the situation made it hard to enjoy our stay. Overall, a disappointing and frustrating experience.
