The room was impressively spacious, immaculately clean, and extremely comfortable throughout my nine-night stay. "Very clean room including the bathroom and shower considering it is shared. The staff was very nice and accommodating towards us even as foreigners. Staying at a ryokan is a bit of a culture shock but after the first night it you warm up to it and get a great experience. Food was also delicious."

"The staff were so friendly and helpful, we loved the traditional breakfast, they were accommodating to my husband who can’t eat fish. They have a courtesy bus that takes you to Arashiyama which I didn’t know and so glad they suggested. The futons are hard but I got used to them. They also said their onsen is tattoo friendly. But most of the place is in such a spectacular forest it was so pretty in the late autumn I will definitely be going back. "
