"Hotel was nice. Close drive to a lot of dining options. Price was pretty high for a hotel in Abilene. Not sure it's totally worth the cost. Took a star off due to cost. "

"Excellent hotel. Best in Abilene, and we looked at several options while in town. Clean hotel, clean rooms, easy parking, helpful staff. Everything in Abilene is overpriced right now due to multiple AI data center build outs. However this hotel came closest to validating the sky high Abilene room rates. Would highly recommend."

"Clean but pool was under construction and I wasn't allowed to get my money back to change hotels because I went through Expedia. Only reason I picked this hotel was because of the pictures of the pool and my kids couldn't use it."

"I use Holiday Inn Express and Suites whenever I travel between CA and NC twice each year. I really do not like leaving negative reviews, but Abilene is consistently higher priced than the other cities I stay in (Tucson and Tuscaloosa) and the hotel is never as clean and up to date. You deserve to know if you are planning a stay here."

"The room was clean and had no bugs. But when we arrived, our room had no soap and only one thin bath towel. The door was warped, and the deadbolt was very difficult to latch. The AC unit was noisy and looked like coffee had spilled on it. To top things off, it is hard to get into because it faces a one way street and the neighborhood is not great. My wife did not feel safe."

"Upon arrival, there wasn’t anyone at the desk, when she finally made her way to the desk, check in was fine, not great, not really friendly but not rude either. Not a lot of parking since there were multiple utility trucks taking up the front parking. "Upon check-in we’re informed a credit card would need to be used for possible damages and/or smoking in the amount of $150 - $200. Immediately entering room we spotted an iron mark burned into the carpet and a bleached spot at edge where carpet meets tile in front of sink. Bathroom door hits toilet when opening or losing. "Definitely a budget motel. Sketchy clientele. Room felt dirty, but sheets were clean and no bed bugs. Electric door lock was broken. Curtains broken and covered the AC unit so zero air flow. Did not use the shower as it was not exactly clean. Strong smell of cigarette smoke covered up with air freshener. Wear shoes, the floor was filthy."

"The rate reflects the price, amenities, building and the room; sheets need to be thrown away. The walls were scratched and dents all over too. The door was a joke it couldn’t lock up and the gaps between the doors that’s a joke! For $15 bucks I’m going to stay somewhere else!!"
