Red Roof Inn Montrose hotels

"We booked our stay because of reviews on this app, the price and the amenities for our family. I didn’t know I needed to call but apparently I should’ve because it’s one of the busiest hotels in the area hosting multiple huge events in one weekend. Sadly we landed on a weekend when a massive pro-life convention was going on. There was not enough staff to handle this crowd and regular guests. The reception food was never filled after the first 30 minutes, there was no seating other than the restaurant forcing you to order food, we had to sign up to swim and one day there weren’t any available slots, the next day they closed it due to a bodily fluid accident. Breakfast was similar to the reception- food was not restocked, there was one chef behind the counter, no yogurts, minimal fruit. There were no quiet hours so the atrium noise was heard in the living room area forcing our family to share the one bed in our bedroom, pull out couch bedding does not stay in the room, and the rooms do not have bathtubs (applicable if you have a small child). I hope this helps the next family! Overall, I’d say it’s probably wonderful for an event, but very poor choice to stay as a family. "

"The bed was uncomfortable and the AC blew warm air, even at 66°. When the front desk clerk checked on it, they said it was working fine. I believe the electricity being out localling and the immediate increase in guests affected the efficiency of our AC, due to the increase of guests (especially with children) we were not able to enjoy the pool or hot tub . It was due to unfortunate weather around the afea, not the hotel. "

"Hotel dirty, trash in hallways. Hallway stink! Safety lock on hotep door was broken, there was an half drunken beer in the fridge, had to switch room. Very terrible upkeep. DO NOT BOOK!!!!"

"We requested a king size bed. We received a queen size bed. When we approached the front desk, they said they had no control over what room was booked. We could not find any ice machines that worked in the hotel. It seemed to be more of a nightclub /convention center than an actual Holiday Inn hotel . Very disappointed will not stay at that hotel again."

"Room was nasty smelling and looking but “clean.” The staff was not receptive to my issues during the blackout. There was no pool or gym like the website said had. There was no breakfast just a brew of bad coffee"
